A Success Story

Our 2005 Event was a smashing success - broadcast via America One and select Fox Sports International networks worldwide. Approximately 60 golfers from 15 countries attended the 2005 Playoff at the beautiful Rio Secco Golf Club in Las Vegas in mid January of 2006. Many new friendships were made, and a memorable, magical week was experienced by all who participated!

We had golfers from all over the world, including Wales, Ireland, Scotland, England, USA, Australia, China, Canada, Thailand, Germany, Sweden Spain, Netherlands Japan and South Korea. We awarded cash prizes, two brand new Porsche Cayennes, 2 trips to the Masters and all 60 Finalists received a full set of Warrior Golf Clubs, golfing attire and much more.

Every facet of the event including tournament play, contests, lunch and dinner breaks and festivities at night were all recorded for broadcast via 4 hi def cameras, (one on a 30 foot jib arm) during the tournament play (3 days), 1 behind the scenes for 5 days, 3 hi def following action during contest days, party functions and during the final two days.

Everyone had a great time - fun, drama, conflict, suspense and romance unfolded throughout the week. Our hosts, Gary Koch ( PGA Champion, Tour player and NBC sports announcer) and the always entertaining Tamara Clark ( Canadian actor, performer and amateur golfer) made a great team, combining Gary's conservative take on golf and Tamara's zany and humorous approach. Scott Smith, a long drive professional and world record holder of 539 yd drive also added to the week with tips and golf tricks for the finalists on the long drive hole, which included driving a ball through 3/4" plywood.

Representatives from three of eTour's benefactors were also present : NASCA - Hunting for an Australia Tiger - Australia, Ace Kids Golf - California and The First Tee Nevada Chapter, enjoyed a week in Las Vegas and a golf camp with Gary Koch and Scott Smith where they received tips, instruction and analysis on their game.

The week wrapped up with an hour long Grand Finale filmed at the Great Hall in the Fashion Show Mall, a venue only to be found in Las Vegas - with visuals that delighted and surprised everyone. The program included an entertaining choreographed golf attire fashion show with designers from UK and Europe, the $25,000. Putt, entertainment from Eszence, Erin Jordan and the awarding of the Porsche Cayennes to Kent Skene from Canada and Pauline Bramley from the UK and the trips to the Masters Golf Event in Augusta, GA.

The 2005 Event was a great success, as we contributed close to $70K to charities around the world and the select Fox Sports International Networks and American One Networks acquired the broadcast rights and are airing the show.

Our goals for the 2006 event are to raise a minimum of $250K for our charities and have at least 100 Finalists from 25 countries attend the 2006 Playoff scheduled for Las Vegas in April 2007.
